Evening Walk – Maldon Riverside

Meet in the at Butt Lane car park, Maldon CM9 5HD at 7:30pm for a short walk spending about an hour exploring Maldon’s historic quayside and Promenade Park. Find out about the salt works, the boatyards, the sail lofts, the Bath Wall parliament and the heroic death of Byrhtnoth at the Battle of Malden. Finish with a drink in the Queen’s Head pub.

Walk: Fordham Hall & Colne Valley

Meet at the Fordham Hall Woodland Trust car park, CO6 3LY, at 10:30 for a walk of about 7½ miles. The walk takes in some beautiful countryside and varied woodland near Colchester, including a bit of the Essex Way.
Please bring sandwiches, but there is an excellent pub about two-thirds of the way round (The Shoulder of Mutton), and another not far from the finish with a nice beer garden (The Three Horseshoes).
