Five nights at the Langton Centre, Hartsop in Patterdale, at the foot of the Kirkstone Pass, near Brotherswater, 2 miles from Ullswater and in sight of Hellvelyn and the High Street range. An ideal location for some of the best walking in the Lake District.
The centre has central heating, showers, a lounge with easy chairs, dining room and games room, a drying room and well equipped kitchen.
You need to bring a sleeping bag or sheets and duvets. Note that pillows and blankets are no longer provided.

Slideshow: The Northern Explorer
John M
John will give a slide show on the Northern Explorer, a long-distance passenger train that runs 424 miles between Auckland and Wellington in the North Island of New Zealand along the North Island Main Trunk railway. This is a very scenic route that links the north and south extremities of North Island, crossing valleys, ravines and rivers. It traverses nine viaducts and the world-famous Raurimu Spiral, a masterpiece of civil engineering built to lift trains 450ft from the plain of the Whanganui River to the heights North Island Volcanic Plateau. This is one of the spectacular railway journeys of the world and a must for sightseers, rail enthusiasts and all those who want to appreciate the beauty of New Zealand.
Join us on Zoom from 8.30pm.
