Tanner's Hatch, Surrey Hills
Steve C
YHA Tanner's Hatch is a beautiful 17th Century timber-framed cottage surrounded by National Trust woodland. With a real feeling of rural remoteness, yet only 2 miles from Dorking, the hostel is accessible only by foot, ¾ mile from the parking area. The hostel has been extensively refurbished since our last visit, but we hope it will still offer a unique experience, close both to nature and to traditional hostelling. Explore the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and nearby National Trust Polesden Lacey estate.
