Meet at Gosbecks Archeological Park, Maldon Rd, Colchester, CO3 4RN at 10:30am for a walk of about 6 miles. There is a pub stop at the Donkey & Buskins a roughly half way round, but please bring sandwiches.

Please submit photos and comments before 3 December to allow time for us to collate the top "likes". We will review entries on Zoom on the night and have a final vote on the winning photos and captions.

Our annual Christmas Party at Chignal St James Village Hall. The fun starts from 7:00pm.
As usual, there’ll be a bring-and-share buffet, so please let Cress know if you want to come and what you can bring for the buffet.
Please also bring your own drinks.
As well as eating, music and dancing, we're also planning:

- Secret Santa Gifts (optional - homemade or charity shop only, max £5, wrapped and anonymous, bring a gift and you will receive one!)
To find it (grid ref TL665108, What3Words ///perform.paler.file, postcode CM1 4TS) take the A1060 (Rainsford Rd./Roxwell Road.) out of Chelmsford; turn right at lights into Chignall Road., after 1 mile turn left (Mashbury Road) signposted Chignall St. James. The hall is on the left after almost 2 miles.

New Year in the Peak District

We’ll spend 4 nights at YHA Ilam Hall to explore the Peak District and celebrate the New Year. The hostel is a Victorian gothic mansion in 84 acres of National Trust parkland, with the beauty of Dovedale just a few minutes walk away.
Deposit £90 to book a bed. And let us know if you’re interested in extending the trip, possibly at another hostel, to 4th January.
