This walk around the delightful village of Finchingfield and its surrounds is just the thing to get you warmed up for the Easter trip. There is also the strong possibility of a teashop in the afternoon.

Wednesday 8th April

Friday 10th April to Tuesday 14th April

Easter Trip to the Lake District

Dave

We will be staying at Rydal Hall Youth Centre near Ambleside. This is a fully-equipped hostel-style self-catering centre in an excellent location for walking and exploring the southern Lake District. There is even a bar and a teashop on the site!

The Centre is not available on Thursday 9th. Some of us will be staying at Windermere hostel on that night, but remember that Thursday before Easter usually sees some of the worst traffic jams of the year, so anyone who’s working that afternoon will need to stay somewhere en route, or travel on Friday. There’s also the choice of coming home on Monday or Tuesday - please let me know as soon as possible which option you want.

Cost £9 per night (including food), plus £20 for petrol. Deposit of £20 will book your bed. Thursday night at Windermere will be an extra £11.

Wednesday 15th April

Lake District Quiz

Lorna

You’ve walked the hills, ate the cream tea, probably bought the T-shirt, now see what you really know about the Lakes.

Thursday 16th April

Committee Meeting

Dave J

From 8pm at Dave’s in Springfield

Saturday 18th April

Trevor’s ‘Allo ‘Allo Party

Wednesday 22nd April

Megabowl

Dave J

Watch out those skittles! CYHA go bowling!

Meet at the Megabowl at approx. 8:30pm to play at 9:00 and for beer in the White Horse at 10pm. Please let Dave J know if you’re interested so he has an idea of numbers.
