Wednesday 7th June Terling evening walk Cress Meet at Terling Village Hall, The Dismals, CM3 2PW (///consonant.vest.downcast) at 7.30pm for a short walk followed by drinks at The Rayleigh Arms. Sunday 11th June Canal Walk Dave P A 14-mile hike down the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation. Meet in Maldon, catch the bus to Chelmsford, and then walk back. Parking off the High Street in White Horse Lane (CM9 5QP) is 50p on Sundays. Our bus stop is just outside the White Horse pub and the bus leaves at 10:26am, arriving in Chelmsford 11am. Bring sandwiches for your lunch, and we’ll stop for afternoon tea at Paper Mill Lock. Wednesday 14th June Committee Meeting Join us on Zoom looking at events for September and trips for next year. Wednesday 21st June Stock Cycle & Walk Jim & Cress Meet in the Stock Village Hall car park, CM4 9NF, at 7:30pm for either a short walk with Cress or a short bike ride with Jim. We’ll then reunite for a drink in The Bakers Arms. Friday 23rd to Monday 26th June The Cotswolds and the Thames Path Cress Three nights at The Barrel Store hostel in Cirencester to explore the Cotswolds, with the option of walking to the source of the Thames for those of us planning to complete the Thames Path. In the centre of Cirencester, historic Roman town and "Capital of the Cotswolds", the Barrel Store is a well-appointed hostel in part of the old brewery. Nearest pub - 100 yards. Follow the brown signs for "Brewery Car Park", postcode GL7 1JH, ///plod.dwell.adults. Parking immediately outside The Barrel Store, (for a fee), free parking a short walk away. Sheets, towels, shampoo, shower gel provided. Deposit £84 please. Wednesday 28th June Pub Meal - The Running Mare Jonathan Join us for a delicious pub meal at The Running Mare, Running Mare Lane, Chelmsford, CM2 8PN at 7:30pm. Let Jonathan know by 21 June if you want to come, so seats can be booked.
