History of Hungary

A canter through 1000 years of the tumultuous history of Hungary from the arrival of the Magyars, the rise of greater Hungary, its struggles through invasions by the Mongols, Turks and Habsburgs to the dual monarchy with Austria, the upheavals of the 20^th century and finally the 'illiberal democracy' of the country today.

On Zoom from 8.30pm.

Sunday 14^th January

London Walk

Meet at Piccadilly Circus station at 10:30am for a short (~3 miles) walk taking in the sights of Mayfair, possibly ending up in Covent Garden. Please bring sarnis, but there should also be refreshment opportunities en route.
