Christmas Party

Cress

Our annual Christmas Party at Chignal St James Village Hall. The fun starts from 7:30pm.

Please contact Cress if you want to come so we can make some attempt to coordinate the bring-and-share buffet. We're planning a raffle, quiz and dancing. Bring your own drinks and your dancing shoes.

To find it (grid ref TL665108, see map or What3Words ///perform.paler.file) take the A1060 (Rainsford Rd./Roxwell Rd.) out of Chelmsford; turn right at lights into Chignall Rd., after 1 mile turn left (Mashbury Rd) signposted Chignall St. James. The hall is on the left after almost 2 miles.

Exmoor

Dave P

For New Year, we will be re-visiting the National Trust's Exmoor Bunkhouse. At Countisbury Hill on the North Devon coast, on the fringes of Exmoor, there are miles of coastal hikes and moorland walks on the doorstep. The bunkhouse, a converted barn, provides comfortable centrally-heated accommodation surrounded by dramatic valleys, rugged moorland and an impressive rocky coastline. The nearby towns of Lynton and Lynmouth are also worth a visit. Plus there's a pub, The Blue Ball Inn, just a few yards away from the bunkhouse.

Directions: On the A39 at Countisbury, car park on the other side of the road approximately 10 metres from the bunkhouse.

Postcode EX35 6NE, Grid Ref SS746495, ///jammy.warns.spurring.

Fitted sheet, two pillows and pillow cases are provided - bring your own sleeping bag or duvet.

Cost is expected to be around £30 per person per night including all meals. We have the bunkhouse for 6 nights.

£50 deposit to book a bed.

Note: Unless otherwise stated, Wednesday events start at 8.30pm on Zoom. Please get in touch for joining instructions.
