Wednesday 7th November Pub Night Come and join Dave from 8.30pm at the Pig and Whistle in Chignall Smealy for an evening of beer and sparkling conversation. The pub is in Chignall Road at grid ref TL679112, see map. Wednesday 14th November Committee Meeting Please feel free to come along and join in the discussions for future trips and events with the Committee, full of vitality and freshly elected from last month. Everybody is welcome as we will need loads of brilliant ideas for 2002. Saturday 17th November Rodings Rally 
Individuals are wanted to form teams for charging around Epping Forest in the middle of the night. This event involves night navigation with cryptic clues over a 10 to 12 mile course. It's great fun (honest) and a real challenge (if only to stay awake that long!). Besides we have our honour to uphold. This annual overnight orienteering event is run by Walthamstow & Chingford YHA Group. You have eight hours to do the course searching for camouflaged tents in the pitch dark undergrowth. Entry fee £3.50, Map £1, Breakfast £1.50 Wednesday 21st November Place Names Quiz Tom will be quizzing us on place names from all our favourite destinations, including names you'll be convinced he's made up (perhaps he has??). An entertaining evening for all. Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th November Blackboys Hostel, Sussex 
A rustic wooden cabin with a cosy open fire, in secluded Sussex woodland near Uckfield, originally built to house refugees from the Spanish Civil War. Blackboys hostel great place from which to explore countryside which includes routes such as the Weald Way. Take a ride on the Bluebell Steam Railway or visit Charleston Farmhouse, of Bloomsbury Group fame, or Batemans at Burwash, a National Trust property which was once the home of Rudyard Kipling. Total cost about £32. Deposit of £20 to reserve your bed. Wednesday 28th November Jig-Saw Puzzle Race Two teams with two puzzles, racing each other to be the first to complete the picture. All forms of gerrymandering will be looked on with great severity as there was a great deal of unsportsman-like behaviour when we last ran this event.
