Sheringham Trip

Those of us who braved the rain and ignored the weather forecast were rewarded with a beautiful day on the north Norfolk coast.

This trip had something for everyone, a boat trip, seals and bird-watching at Blakeney point, cliff-top walks, sunset and fish & chips on the sea front at Sheringham, steam trains on the North Norfolk railway...

Evening stroll around Pleshey

We started from the car park at the village hall (after a brief wait for Trevor and a longer wait for Lynn) and spent a couple of pleasant hours circling Pleshey. The mud was no more than ankle deep and it was a good opportunity to catch up on all the group gossip, followed by an hour (or two) in the White Horse, which has been totally revamped since we were last there. Some of us indulged in a dessert, while others indulged in yet MORE gossip, and Lorna turned up to show us her wounds. (See the back page for full, gory details.)

Capel Curig Trip

This was another fine weekend in the mountains of Snowdonia. Most of us walked the Nantille Ridge, but there was the rare event of Lorna on a low level walk (she had an excuse though, recovering from a knee injury sustained in the Alps). Gareth and Karen climbed Snowdon in record time, and Graham had a much more relaxing time looking for red kites and other birds.

Line Dancing

A small but enthusiastic group spent the evening at Billy Ray's, at the Riverside retail park, and discovered that George can really shake it when he wants to.

Lavenham Walk

A crowd of eighteen of us enjoyed a sunny walk through the Suffolk contryside around Lavenham. The route included visits to two pubs, two churches, an ice cream shop and a quick tour of the picturesque medieval village of Lavenham.
