Exford hostel is a large Victorian house set beside the meandering river Exe, nestled in the quaint moorland village of Exford, at the heart of the Exmoor National Park with its rolling coombes & open moorland. Close to the South West Coastal Path, the Coleridge Way and the Doone Valley.

The hostel is in the centre of Exford village, over the bridge and first on the left. Postcode TA24 7PU, Grid ref  SS853383.

Deposit of £60 will reserve your bed for the 3 nights. Total cost will be around £105 including accommodation, meals and petrol contribution.

Saffron Trail Part 2

The second stage of the 71 mile Saffron Trail from Southend to Saffron Walden.

We leave the more urban elements of stage 1 for a 10 mile walk from Hockley to East Hanningfield via Battlesbridge through the pleasant scenery of south Essex. Meet at East Hanningfield at 10.30 am for car shuffle to Hockley . There is parking along the green and in side streets. Meet on the green near the Folly Bistro. Bring sandwiches.
