Join us at 7:30pm at the Horse and Groom, Galleywood Common, CM2 8PJ, for a short walk followed by a nightcap back at the pub.

Committee Meeting

Planning events for September and trips for the winter. Please feel free to join us. We’ll be at The Crown in Sandon from 8.30pm.

Sunday 17^th June

Walk at Knole, Kent

Meet at 10:30am at the One Tree Hill car park, 2 miles east of Sevenoaks, TN15 0SN, for a walk of about 6 miles. Please bring sandwiches, but there should be opportunities for a tearoom at Knole and a pub en route, as well as a chance to see the historic house and medieval deer park.

Wednesday 20^th June

Bike Ride – The Viper

Meet in the car park opposite the Viper, Mill Green, CM4 0PT, at 7:30pm for a bike ride of a couple of hours. It’s close to the longest day, but some lights in your panier would be a sensible precaution (sunset 9:21pm).

Streatley-on-Thames

Weekend at YHA Strealey-on-Thames, a comfortable Victorian house, close to one of the prettiest stretches of the River Thames. We plan to walk some sections of the Thames Path.

Wednesday 27^th June

Meal at Green Dragon, Young’s End

The Green Dragon is a beautiful heavily beamed 18th century building with converted hayloft, set in a peaceful rural location at Young’s End near Black Notley (CM77 8QN).  Meet at 7.30pm for meal – in the garden if weather is good.

Note: Unless otherwise stated, Wednesday events start at 8.30pm at the YMCA in Victoria Road, Chelmsford
